NTPC H2O Heroics: Wins Big for Water Resilience!

NTPC Ltd., the largest integrated power utility in India, has received the esteemed Forward Faster Sustainability Award 2025 in the Water Resilience category. This award was presented by the UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) in Chennai on February 13, acknowledging NTPC’s outstanding contributions to water conservation and sustainable management.  Among its key initiatives are advanced wastewater treatment plants, achieving zero liquid discharge status, and the restoration of local water bodies. NTPC’s dedication to the principles of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle has established new industry standards in water sustainability.  This accolade highlights NTPC’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and its focus on environmental stewardship. With an installed capacity exceeding 77 GW and plans to add 60 GW of renewable energy by 2032, NTPC is at the forefront of India’s shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
