Petronet LNG Secures Long-Term Supply Agreements and Expands Chemical Sales

Petronet LNG Ltd., India's leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) importer, has announced long-term agreements spanning 15 years, ensuring stable supply commitments in the energy sector. This move reinforces the company’s strategic efforts to secure consistent LNG supplies, crucial for India’s energy security.

In addition to its supply agreements, Petronet LNG has also signed a major deal involving the sale of 250 KTA (kilotons per annum) of propylene and 11 KTA of hydrogen. The agreement underscores Petronet's diversification into the petrochemical segment, catering to the growing demand for industrial chemicals and clean energy alternatives.

Furthermore, Petronet LNG has executed agreements with Deepak Phenolics, a subsidiary of Deepak Nitrite Ltd., for the supply of propylene and hydrogen. This collaboration is expected to enhance the domestic availability of key raw materials essential for the chemical and energy industries.

With these developments, Petronet LNG continues to strengthen its position as a leader in India's LNG and petrochemical market, fostering industrial growth and energy transition initiatives.
