PM Modi Deals with Obesity Scourge in Recent Mann Ki Baat Address

During the 119th edition of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the stark increase in India's obesity case, challenging residents to make themselves healthier through direct action. Modi pointed out that one out of every eight citizens suffers from obesity, and recent years have seen cases of it among children become four times larger. He stressed the need for regular exercise and diet changes, calling on individuals to cut down their oil usage by 10% each month. The Prime Minister also marked ISRO's 100th rocket launch, reviewed plans for the forthcoming Mahakumbh Mela, and made an announcement about a special campaign for International Women's Day in which motivational women will drive his social media accounts for a day.
