Power Finance Transfers Bijapur Renewable Energy Zone Transmission Project to G R Infraprojects

G R Infraprojects Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from PFC Consulting Limited to establish an inter-state transmission system (ISTS) for integrating the Bijapur Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Karnataka.

The project involves constructing a 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA pooling station near Bijapur, a 400 kV double-circuit line between Bijapur and Raichur, and associated infrastructure.

The estimated annual transmission cost is ₹1.08 billion (~$12.73 million), with a completion timeline of 24 months under a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model.

This strategic initiative aims to enhance the integration of renewable energy sources, bolstering Karnataka's power infrastructure and supporting India's sustainable energy goals.
