Prayagraj DM Addresses Mahakumbh 2025 Extension Amid Akhilesh Yadav's Appeal

The ongoing Mahakumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj has witnessed an unprecedented influx of over 50 crore pilgrims at the Triveni Sangam. In response to this overwhelming turnout, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has urged the Uttar Pradesh government to extend the festival's duration, highlighting the challenges faced by devotees due to the current schedule. Prayagraj District Magistrate has acknowledged the situation and stated that authorities are evaluating the feasibility of an extension to accommodate the remaining pilgrims.
