Price Rise In The Slow Lane: Retail Inflation Edges To 3.48 Percent In April
India’s retail inflation accelerated slightly to 3.48 percent year on year in April, up from 3.4 percent in March, but remained comfortably within the Reserve Bank of India’s 2 to 6 percent target band and close to its 4 percent medium term goal. The uptick was driven mainly by firmer food prices, even as core inflation stayed subdued.
