RailTel’s AI Eye On New Delhi Station Signals Next-Gen Rail Security

New Order From Ministry Of Railways  

The Ministry of Railways has formally awarded RailTel the work of providing an AI-based surveillance system at New Delhi Railway Station under a domestic contract. The work order, received on May 13, 2026, covers end-to-end deployment of intelligent video and monitoring solutions, with commercial details to be notified once finalised.  

AI Surveillance At A Flagship Station  

Positioned as a flagship project, the AI solution will bring advanced analytics, real-time alerts and integrated control to one of India’s busiest transport hubs. The deployment is expected to support better crowd management, enhanced security visibility and faster response by on-ground teams, aligning with Indian Railways’ broader digital upgrade strategy.
