Redington's Regulatory Rollercoaster: A ₹175 Crore Twist

Redington Limited, a leading technology distributor, has received a tax demand order for ₹175 crore from the Income Tax Department. This latest development follows a previous tax notice of ₹233.66 crore received in September 2023 for the assessment year 2020-21. The company, which distributes products for major brands like Apple and Amazon in India, has faced similar challenges in the past. In 2013, Redington was hit with a ₹138 crore tax demand related to transfer pricing issues. Despite these regulatory hurdles, Redington has maintained strong financial performance, with its FY2023-24 annual report highlighting a 16% CAGR in Profit After Tax.
