15-year-old tennis prodigy Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi has stunned the tennis world by reaching the semifinals of the L&T Mumbai Open WTA 125K tournament. The unranked wildcard entry from Coimbatore, India, defeated 285th-ranked Mei Yamaguchi in a thrilling three-set quarterfinal match. Maaya's remarkable run makes her the first Indian female to reach this stage in a home WTA tournament since Sania Mirza in 2005. Recently offered a contract at the Rafa Nadal Academy, Maaya's aggressive playing style and composure beyond her years have marked her as India's next big tennis sensation.
