Skyroot Aerospace Plans Rs 1,800 Crore Fundraise To Fuel Expansion

Skyroot Aerospace, one of India’s leading private space technology startups, is preparing for a major fundraising round estimated at Rs 1,800 crore ($150-200 million). According to reports, the company will issue fresh primary shares, ensuring no dilution for existing shareholders. The capital infusion is aimed at supporting expansion, scaling operations, and advancing its commercial space launch capabilities.  

The proposed transaction could value Skyroot Aerospace at close to $1 billion, positioning it among India’s most valuable space-tech ventures. Backed by sovereign wealth funds such as Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, the company has already made significant strides in the sector, including the successful launch of Vikram-S, India’s first privately developed rocket, in 2022.
