Spinning into Leadership: Axar Patel's Big Moment For IPL 2025

Axar Patel has been named the new Delhi Capitals captain for IPL 2025 in place of Rishabh Pant. Patel has been with Delhi Capitals since 2019 and comes with leadership skills from leading Baroda and Gujarat in domestic cricket. He also captained Delhi Capitals in a single match last year. The squad starts their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24. Patel's appointment is a new beginning for the Capitals, who are looking for their maiden IPL title. He will be assisted by a new team management headed by Hemang Badani.
