Step into Success: Budget 2025 Unveils Bold Plans to Propel India's Footwear and Leather Industries

The Union Budget 2025 has unveiled a transformative plan for India's footwear and leather sectors, aiming to enhance productivity and competitiveness. A dedicated Focus Product Scheme will support the production of both leather and non-leather footwear, projected to create 2.2 million jobs and generate a turnover of ₹4 lakh crore, with exports exceeding ₹1.1 lakh crore. This initiative aligns with the 'Make in India' vision, integrating domestic manufacturing into global supply chains. The budget also includes customs duty exemptions to bolster local production capabilities, marking a significant step towards self-reliance in the footwear industry.
