Stick to Success: Indian Women's Hockey Team Stuns Netherlands, Bags Big Bucks

The Indian women's hockey team achieved a great upset, winning against world No. 1 Netherlands 2-1 in a shootout after the match had ended 2-2 in the FIH Hockey Pro League. To celebrate this feat, Hockey India announced a cash incentive of Rs 1 lakh each for the players and Rs 50,000 each for support staff. The encounter at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar witnessed India's remarkable comeback from being 2-0 down. Deepika and Baljeet Kaur's goals brought India level, while Savita's timely saves in the penalty shootout sealed the victory. This victory is a landmark one for the team against the Olympic champion.
