Stock Market Weekly Wrap: Sensex, Nifty50 Stay Range-Bound

The Indian stock market ended the week on a cautious note with the Sensex and Nifty50 trading in a tight range. The Nifty50 closed 0.69% lower, while Bank Nifty dipped 0.90%, driven by a sharp fall in the stock of IndusInd Bank. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold heavily again, with net outflows of ₹5,729.80 crore in the week. However, domestic institutional investors helped to provide support. Market sentiment should improve next week if inflation continues to stay under check, with India's consumer price index-based inflation eased to 3.6% in February. Stock-specific strategy should be continued, with an emphasis on large caps and flagship midcaps.
