Overwhelmingly Domestic, But Global Pull is Strong: Out of the total number of visitors, a whopping 51.84 lakh were domestic tourists, while 2.71 lakh were international visitors, mainly from Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Best-ever Monthly Tourist Arrival: January took the top spot with 10.56 lakh visitors, followed by consistent numbers even in the scorching summer months, indicating tourism in Goa is a twelve-month business now.

Diverse Campaigns & Overseas Fairs: Specialist marketing in priority markets, attendance at international travel fairs, and pioneering "Regenerative Tourism" initiatives underpinned Goa's international image.

Varied Experiences: Aside from its legendary beaches, Goa's attempts at marketing hinterland trails, heritage walks, spiritual retreats, and wellness circuits bore fruit—attracting solo backpackers, groups, and families.

Festival & Event Magnet: Mega festivals, sports events, and cultural events created tourist interest, especially in what was traditionally categorized as off-season monsoon season.

Greater Connectivity & Infrastructure: Better Airport facilities, smoother transportation, and better hospitality facilities made traveling to Goa convenient and more comfortable than ever for Indians and foreigners.

Strong Summer Resilience: Tourist arrivals were strong—April to June alone recorded more than 26 lakh tourists—indicating tourism in Goa remains not at all impacted by rising temperatures.

"Goa has done this through a multi-dimensional strategy—more campaigns, new offerings, and better infrastructure have brought Goa to newer levels in the world," Goa's Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik, said.
