In a decisive push towards clean mobility, every vehicle operating on the airside will be electric, supported by multiple charging stations strategically placed across the campus and EV infrastructure covering one-fifth of the parking area. This approach aims to sharply reduce scope 1 and 2 emissions while normalising EV use for both airport operations and passengers.

Built on a net-zero concept in collaboration with Zurich Airport Group, the airport has already been recognised as India’s first IGBC Green Campus-certified airport, reflecting its integrated sustainability blueprint. The terminal has been designed to minimise energy, water and resource intensity through efficient building systems and climate-responsive architecture.

For Uttar Pradesh, the airport is not only a connectivity and investment catalyst but also a showcase of sustainable infrastructure aligned with the state’s development vision. Executed under a PPP model with Zurich Airport International AG as concessionaire, the Jewar project aims to set a new benchmark for greenfield airports across the country.
