India's Swiggy Faces Wider Losses Amid Competitive Spending

Swiggy, the leading food delivery platform in India, reported a significant quarterly loss of ₹799 crore for Q3 FY25, a 39% increase from the previous year's ₹574 crore loss. Despite this setback, revenue surged by 31% to ₹3,993 crore, driven by a robust demand for both food and quick commerce services. The company's aggressive investments in expanding its grocery delivery business to counter rivals like Zomato have contributed to rising expenses. Swiggy's shares fell 3.59% following the announcement, closing at ₹418.10
