Toshiba Expands Manufacturing Capacity in Telangana with Rs 562 Crore Investment

Toshiba Transmission and Distribution Systems (India) Private Limited has announced a significant investment of Rs 562 crore to enhance its manufacturing capabilities in Telangana. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting India’s energy infrastructure and contributing to the state’s economic growth.  

Key developments from the announcement:  
- The investment will focus on expanding production lines for power and distribution transformers, surge arresters, and gas-insulated switchgear at the Rudraram plant.  
- A memorandum of understanding was signed in Tokyo, with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and TTDI Chairman Hiroshi Furuta present at the ceremony.  
- The project is expected to generate over 250 direct jobs over the next three years, fostering local employment and skill development.
