Tulsyan NEC Limited has signed a back-to-back Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Manikaran Power Limited to supply 60 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) power to Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) at Rs.5.91 per unit from April 2026 to March 2031.
Tulsyan NEC Limited announced that it has successfully secured a medium-term PPA, ensuring full-scale operations of its power plant for the next five years. This marks a significant milestone for the company’s energy division, boosting operational stability and profitability.
Strategic Partnership And Agreement
The agreement follows TNPDCL’s tender for 1000 MW RTC power procurement. Tulsyan NEC partnered with Manikaran Power Limited as the licensed trader, winning the bid for 60 MW supply. The deal was executed on March 20, 2026.
Coal Linkage And Certification Advantage
With the signing of this PPA, Tulsyan NEC becomes eligible for coal linkage under the SHAKTI Policy 2025, ensuring access to Indian coal at competitive prices. The company has also received Independent Power Producer (IPP) certification, a prerequisite for coal allocation.
