The 3rd All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2026-27 was held at the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, where powerlifters, weightlifters, and yoga athletes from across India showcased exceptional performances. Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, CISF, BSF, and Punjab police personnel secured top medals, with several record-breaking lifts and dominant displays in both men’s and women’s categories.

The All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2026-27 brought together athletes from state police forces and central armed police organisations. The multi-day championship featured weightlifting, powerlifting, and yoga competitions, highlighting the fitness and discipline of India’s law enforcement personnel.

Powerlifting Highlights

In the men’s 94 kg category, Brijesh of Uttar Pradesh Police clinched gold, while Moidamni Kanta of CISF took silver and Jagdeep Singh of CRPF secured bronze.
In the women’s 77 kg category, Komal Khan of Uttar Pradesh Police dominated to win gold, followed by Pooja Yadav of CISF with silver and Lal Chhan Himi of SSB with bronze.

Weightlifting Achievements

In women’s 84 kg weightlifting, Renu Devi of Haryana Police won gold, Sheelam Singh of Uttar Pradesh Police took silver, and Jaspal Kaur of Punjab Police earned bronze.
In the 76 kg category, Ashwini Bhonsiye of Maharashtra Police secured gold, with Priyanka Shukla of Uttar Pradesh Police and Navdeep Kaur of Punjab Police winning silver and bronze respectively.
In men’s events, Tosan Kumar Sahu of BSF topped the senior category semifinals, booking his place in the finals.

Other Standout Performances

In the women’s 52 kg category, Rajni of Uttar Pradesh Police won gold.
In the 57 kg category, N. Pumagal of Tamil Nadu Police claimed gold.
In the 58 kg category, Abhirami of CISF secured gold.
In men’s 74 kg, Dibakar Pegu of Assam Police won gold, while K. Janarthanam of Telangana Police and Mahendrakar Rohit of Tamil Nadu Police took silver and bronze.

Yoga Competitions

The yoga segment also drew attention. In senior men’s traditional yoga, Leiton Das of BSF secured the top position, while in women’s traditional yoga, Priya of ITBP emerged victorious.
