Vedanta Powers Up With Record Aluminium, Zinc; Energy And Steel Output Lose Steam

Mumbai-based Vedanta Limited announced its production release for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2026. The company achieved record highs in aluminium, alumina, zinc, pig iron, copper cathodes, and ferro chrome, but faced challenges in oil & gas and steel output.  

Key Highlights  

• · Alumina production up 48% YoY at 2,916 kt  
• · Aluminium output at 2,456 kt, highest-ever annual level  
• · Zinc India mined metal at 1,114 kt, up 2% YoY  
• · Pig iron production at 895 kt, up 10% YoY  
• · Copper cathode output at 170 kt, up 15% YoY  
• · Oil & gas production down 16% YoY to 87.2 kboepd
