Google Pay is set to revolutionize digital transactions in India with an upcoming AI-powered voice payment feature. This innovation will allow users to make UPI payments simply by speaking, eliminating the need for typing. The feature aims to enhance accessibility, particularly for illiterate users, making online payments more convenient. Developed in collaboration with the Indian government as part of the Bhashini AI project, it will support payments in local languages. While the launch date remains unannounced, this advancement is expected to significantly impact India's digital payment landscape, where Google Pay currently holds a 37% market share of UPI transactions.
