Voltage Meets Vision – Odisha’s grid upgrade powers heritage and future growth.

On April 13, 2026, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi inaugurated the Nageswar Tangi primary substation under the Odisha Distribution System Strengthening Project (ODSSP) phase-IV. This marks a major milestone in addressing the long-standing demand for uninterrupted electricity in the Old Town area.  

Key Highlights

• Nageswar Tangi substation commissioned on April 13, 2026  
• Built at ₹19 crore under ODSSP phase-IV  
• Capacity of 2x8 MVA, 33/11 kV with underground connectivity  
• Expected to reduce outages and stabilize voltage in Old Town  
• Complements ₹600 crore grid projects across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack
