West Bengal Police Crackdown Nets 46 Suspected Cyber Fraudsters Linked to Jamtara Gangs

The Cyber Crime Wing of West Bengal Police has arrested 46 individuals allegedly linked to the infamous Jamtara gangs in a recent statewide crackdown. These arrests follow multiple raids conducted in areas including Birbhum, Asansol, Hooghly, and Chandannagar. Over the past month, more than 250 cybercrime cases have been reported in these regions, prompting the police action. The arrested individuals are suspected of involvement in phishing and online fraud. Authorities believe some Jamtara gangs are shifting their base to West Bengal to evade detection.
