What Was Life Like In Harappan, Home Of The Indus Valley Script?

The Harappan civilization, or the Indus Valley Civilization, was highly developed for its era. They had a very accurate system of standardized weights and measures, with divisions as minute as 1.6 mm. Their urban planning featured advanced sewerage and drainage systems. Harappans developed a number of objects made from terracotta, metal, and stone. Harappans made use of the Indus Script, a symbolic language on seals and tablets, which is still not deciphered. The script is thought to have developed independently of Mesopotamian and Ancient Egyptian scripts. Harappans were also engaged in large maritime trade networks that stretched as far as Central Asia and the Middle East.
