Who Holds the Power? LIC Claims Largest Stake in Infosys, Surpassing Founders

In a surprising revelation, the largest shareholder in Infosys is not co-founders Narayana Murthy or Sudha Murthy, but the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), which commands a significant 9.531% stake in the tech giant. This translates to approximately 395.77 million shares valued at around ₹8,694 crore. LIC's increasing investment reflects strong confidence in Infosys amidst a competitive IT landscape. Other notable stakeholders include SBI Funds Management Ltd. and Sudha Gopalakrishnan, but none match LIC's substantial holding.
