Wockhardt's Zaynich Proves Effective in Treating US Pediatric Cancer Patient

Wockhardt Limited has announced another significant success with its investigational antibiotic, Zaynich, in treating a pediatric cancer patient in the United States. The patient, who was suffering from a severe infection caused by extreme-drug-resistant bacteria, was successfully treated with Zaynich under compassionate use. This case highlights the drug's potential in combating life-threatening infections where conventional treatments have failed. Zaynich, a combination of Zidebactam and Cefepime, has shown impressive results in clinical trials, achieving a high cure rate for drug-resistant infections. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 3 trials and is expected to be filed for regulatory approvals globally in 2025.
