A Glimmer of Hope: Putin Thanks Modi and Trump as Ceasefire Takes Shape

Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump for trying to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Putin accepted a 30-day ceasefire proposal backed by the US but made it clear that it has to result in lasting peace and solve the roots of the conflict. He mentioned that numerous leaders, including from China, Brazil, and South Africa, are also working towards solving the issue. Putin's remarks are on the complicated negotiations of the ceasefire, where the proposal has already been accepted by Ukraine.
