A Minority's Voice: John Abraham Speaks Out on Feeling Safe in India

Bollywood actor John Abraham has categorically stated that minorities in India feel secure, based on his own experience. In an interview recently, he said that even though he hails from a minority community—his mother was a Zoroastrian and his father a Syrian Christian—he never felt insecure in the country. Abraham underlined that his celebrity might have made others perceive things differently, but as an Indian, he really feels secure. He also pointed out that he belongs to a minority community that is well-respected in general, and he goes on to say that he is proud to be Indian and wears the national pride on his sleeve. His remarks come as he is promoting his new film, "The Diplomat," which has been well-received.
