A New Road to Hope: 38-Year-Old Overcomes Locomotor Disability

In a heartwarming moment, 38-year-old Santosh Kumari with a 78% locomotor disability was elated as a new road built to her home was inaugurated. Built under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, the 120-meter-long road that cost ₹4.50 lakh symbolizes the resilience and determination of this individual. She walked along the road on crutches, tearful with joy as she moved towards increased mobility and independence. This project brings out the need for accessibility for people with disabilities.
