AI By Her: India Launches Global Innovation Challenge For Women With ₹25 Lakh Prize

The Indian government has unveiled the ‘AI by HER Global Impact Challenge,’ a worldwide competition inviting women innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to develop AI-driven solutions for public good. With a prize pool of ₹25 lakh, the initiative aims to foster inclusive innovation and gender equity in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.

Organized by MyGov India in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and IndiaAI, the challenge is part of the lead-up to the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for February 19–20 in New Delhi. The program is designed to provide global visibility, mentorship, and investor access to women-led AI projects with high potential for social and economic impact.

Key Highlights:  

• Eligibility Criteria: The challenge is open to women-led teams from around the world. Participants must propose AI-based solutions that are deployable, scalable, and aligned with public welfare objectives.
• Registration Process: Interested candidates can register via the official MyGov India portal. Submissions must include a detailed proposal outlining the AI model, its application, scalability, and expected impact. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2025.
• Evaluation Parameters: Entries will be judged on innovation, feasibility, social relevance, and potential for scale. Shortlisted teams will receive mentorship and access to a global platform to refine and present their solutions
• Summit Integration: Finalists will showcase their projects at the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, offering exposure to policymakers, investors, and industry leaders. The summit will also host two other challenges—‘AI for All’ and ‘YUVAi’—targeting national needs and youth innovation, respectively.
• Strategic Vision: The initiative reflects India’s commitment to responsible and inclusive AI development. By spotlighting women-led solutions, the government aims to bridge gender gaps in tech and promote AI applications that address real-world challenges.

The ‘AI by HER’ challenge is a landmark step in democratizing AI innovation, ensuring that women’s voices and visions shape the future of technology for social good.
