AI in Action: Delhi’s Teacher Training Promises a Smarter, More Engaging Classroom

Delhi school teachers are set to embark on an intensive training program to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into everyday classrooms. Launched by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), this initiative aims to equip educators with practical AI skills to personalize learning, enhance assessments, and foster innovative teaching methods.

Key Highlights of the Training Program

The “AI-Mediated Classroom Project” will roll out in two phases, starting with 100 Computer Science teachers from 50 government schools undergoing a two-day capacity-building workshop.

These trained teachers will become resource persons to cascade AI knowledge among peers and students effectively.

The second phase targets subject teachers—Mathematics, Science, English, Hindi, and Social Science—of Classes 6 and 9, with three teachers per subject from each school selected for specialized AI training.

The curriculum focuses on practical AI applications in classrooms, promoting student engagement and improving learning outcomes.

This pioneering effort aligns with Delhi’s vision of fostering future-ready classrooms using cutting-edge technology.
