AI Joins the Force: Maharashtra Cyber Police Revolutionizes Recruitment

In a groundbreaking move, the Maharashtra Cyber Police is set to become the first government department in India to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for recruitment. Collaborating with Nova Strategic Operations (NSO) and VeriKlick, the department will deploy AI-driven tools to conduct initial interviews for hiring 150 cyber consultants under the Maharashtra Cyber Security Project.  

The AI system, trained on over 70,000 hours of interview data, will evaluate candidates using advanced features like voice analysis, facial recognition, and adaptive questioning. Digital scorecards will be generated, ensuring unbiased assessments by stripping data of names and gender. This innovative approach is expected to reduce interview time from weeks to mere hours, enhancing efficiency and transparency.  

Shortlisted candidates will still undergo traditional manual interviews to ensure accuracy and eliminate false positives. With over 2,400 applications already received, this pilot initiative could set a precedent for tech-driven governance in India.
