Akasa Air Takes Off in Bihar: Darbhanga Welcomes New Flight Connectivity

Akasa Air has marked its entry into Bihar with the launch of daily flights from Darbhanga, connecting the city to Hyderabad via Delhi. This expansion is part of Akasa Air's commitment to enhancing regional air travel and providing seamless connectivity between metro cities and emerging destinations. The inaugural flight was flagged off by Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, alongside Akasa Air's Founder and CEO Vinay Dube, at a ceremony held at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Darbhanga, known for its rich cultural heritage and Mithila art, becomes Akasa Air's 28th destination in its rapidly growing network. The new route is expected to boost tourism and economic activity in the region, offering affordable and reliable air travel options. Akasa Air plans to further expand its operations in Bihar, with upcoming routes connecting Darbhanga to Mumbai.
