Amit Shah asks Maharashtra govt to implement new criminal laws in police commissionerates

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has urged the Maharashtra government to swiftly implement the new criminal laws, particularly in the state's 10 police commissionerates. During a review meeting in New Delhi, Shah emphasized the need for 100% rollout of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. He also set an ambitious target of achieving a 90% conviction rate in serious criminal cases. The minister stressed the importance of collaboration between police, government lawyers, and the judiciary to ensure speedy justice.
