Apple’s First 2026 iPhone To Fix iPhone 16e’s Biggest Flaw

Apple’s entry-level iPhone lineup is poised for a significant upgrade in 2026 with the launch of the iPhone 17e. Reports suggest that the device will address one of the most criticized omissions in the iPhone 16e—lack of native MagSafe wireless charging. While the iPhone 16e supported basic Qi wireless charging, it missed out on Apple’s magnetic charging ecosystem, limiting accessory compatibility and charging efficiency.  

Key highlights from the announcement include 

• The iPhone 17e will debut in the first quarter of 2026, likely around February or March.  
• Native MagSafe wireless charging will be introduced, enabling faster charging speeds of up to 20–25W compared to the 7.5W limit on the iPhone 16e.
