Ashnisha Industries Powers Ahead: Obtains Key Approvals for 1.75 MW Gujarat Solar Project

Ashnisha Industries Ltd has made a major milestone in its renewable energy project by obtaining key approvals from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) for its 1.5 MW (AC) / 1.75 MW (DC) solar power project. This milestone is a turning point in the company's ₹60 crore solar investment scheme announced at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.

In a strategic effort, Ashnisha has transferred the land lease of the project to Village Ijn, positioning its site choice for the solar plant in its best location. This move follows the company's previous Letter of Intent for the purchase of land in Surendranagar District.

The land acquisition and approvals reflect Ashnisha's efforts to increase its footprint in the renewable energy business, complementing its core business of steel production. With operations set to begin in 2025, this project is aligned with Gujarat's clean energy targets and strengthens Ashnisha's position in India's expanding solar market.
