Bandra's 12-Seat Sensation: Papa's Cooks Its Way onto Global Stage

Indian restaurant Papa's, located on a chef's counter with a capacity of 12 in Bandra, Mumbai, has made it to the list of TIME Magazine's World's Greatest Places for 2025. An intimate eatery led by Executive Chef Hussain Shahzad that offers a 13-course tasting menu, it reveals Indian flavors through a global lens. Interestingly, it features innovative wild rabbit marinated with weaver ants and lamb Wellington slow-cooked korma-style. Opened last year, Papa's is probably one of the hottest reputations in Indian dining. The restaurant is also a tribute to Shahzad's mentor, the late Indian-American chef Floyd Cardoz. The recognition paves the way for Papa's into the global culinary map, showcasing to the world what Mumbai's food scene has to offer.
