Bengal Secures Massive ₹4.40 Lakh Crore Investment Boost at Global Business Summit 2025

West Bengal has emerged as a powerhouse of investment opportunities after securing proposals worth ₹4.40 lakh crore at the 8th Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS). The two-day summit witnessed 212 MoUs being signed, with major commitments from industry giants including Reliance Industries' ₹50,000 crore pledge and JSW Group's ₹16,000 crore power project. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that over 5,000 investors and delegates from 40 countries participated in the event. The summit also marked the commencement of Asia's second-largest coal mine project at Deucha-Pachami.
