Bengaluru's Metro Revolution: First Made-in-India Driverless Train Arrives for Yellow Line

Bengaluru's long-awaited Namma Metro Yellow Line has received a major boost with the arrival of its first India-assembled driverless train. The six-coach automated marvel, manufactured by Titagarh Rail Systems, reached the city on February 10, 2025. This milestone marks a significant step towards the line's operationalization, connecting RV Road to Bommasandra via key IT hubs. Testing is set to begin in March, bringing the city closer to advanced, efficient public transportation. The Yellow Line is expected to ease traffic congestion and revolutionize commuting for thousands of Bengalureans.
