Bond Central Unveiled: SEBI's Game-Changer for India's Corporate Bond Market

SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch has inaugurated Bond Central, an innovative free database for corporate bonds. The unified database is focused on democratizing access to information on bonds and providing investors with exhaustive listings, price comparisons, and thorough risk assessments. It has been built by the Online Bond Platform Providers Association in collaboration with Market Infrastructure Institutions. Bond Central is going to increase transparency and investor trust. Its main features are the consolidated listing of bonds on exchanges, comparison with government securities' prices, and access to essential documents. The move is an important step in making corporate bonds as easily available as other asset classes, potentially changing the dynamics of India's bond market.
