Budget 2025: Tax Cuts Set to Ignite Car and Two-Wheeler Demand Across India

In a significant move to bolster the automotive sector, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an increase in the personal income tax exemption limit to Rs 12 lakh. This change is expected to enhance disposable income for millions, stimulating demand for cars and two-wheelers. Additionally, customs duties on electric vehicle battery components have been waived, further incentivizing the purchase of electric two-wheelers. Industry leaders anticipate that these measures will not only boost sales but also support sustainable mobility initiatives across India.
