Building Bridges to Success: Afcons Makes Historic Leap into Middle East Construction Boom

Afcons Infrastructure Limited, part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, is changing its strategy to benefit from the Middle East's building boom. The company is concentrating on larger-size projects in the region by entering into alliances with regional groups. This is part of Afcons' international expansion strategy, riding on its experience in marine and hydropower projects. Its order book is currently at INR38,000 crores and has another INR10,662 crores in L1 status. Afcons has in the recent past won a project worth INR1,283 crore from DP World, making its order book worth INR16,000 crores. The company also has its sight set on massive future projects worth billions of dollars, such as a $3.5-5 billion sewer tunnel project in Dubai and a INR75,000 crore marine bridge in Maharashtra.
