Key Highlights:

Large-Scale Rollout: The government of Delhi is opening 1,139 Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs in the city, 70 of which will be operational by May-end. Every assembly constituency will receive at least one center, thereby providing cover even to under-served areas and JJ clusters.
Holistic Free Services: 12 packages of services are provided by AAMs, comprising general health consultations, primary and preventive care, maternal and child health, immunizations, and screening for non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cancers (cervical, breast, oral). Mental health, oral, eye, and ENT services, as well as first-level emergency and trauma services, are provided.
Diagnostics and Referrals: There will be integrated diagnostic labs attached to these centers, offering free key tests. The current MRI and CT scan referral system remains, with patients referred to private centers as the situation demands.
Ayurveda and Wellness: Some AAMs will have Ayurvedic facilities, encouraging integrated wellness in combination with modern medicine.
Insurance Coverage: Beneficiaries are enrolled under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), offering up to ₹5 lakh annual health insurance for secondary and tertiary care.
Upgraded Infrastructure: Many AAMs are being created by renovating existing mohalla clinics and PHCs, aiming for better facilities and expanded reach.
