Chile's President Boric to Energize India Ties: A Partnership of Progress

Chile's youngest president, Gabriel Boric Font, will travel to India on April 1-2, 2025, with a high-level delegation. The talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will include trade, technology, energy, and healthcare, in addition to the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). A Chilean business mission comprising more than 30 firms, including women-run IT companies, will travel to India before the visit of President Boric to attend the INDIASOFT show and conference. Both leaders have had a prior meeting at the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro where Modi spoke of increased cooperation between India and Chile in pharma, tech, and space exploration. Lithium and copper will be the focus, considering Chile's dominance in their production and India's green energy shift.
