Circular Economy To Create 10 Mn Jobs By 2050: MoEFCC's Bhupendra Yadav

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav announced that India's circular economy is expected to reach a market value of $2 trillion and generate 10 million jobs by 2050. Speaking at the 'Waste Recycling & Climate Change 2025' conclave, Yadav emphasized the need to shift from a "take-make-dispose" mindset to a circular economy model. He highlighted the importance of aligning economic growth with environmental sustainability, urging the recycling industry to adopt innovative technologies. The minister also outlined government initiatives, including Extended Producer Responsibility frameworks, to promote circularity and sustainability across various sectors.
