Climate Crisis in the Heartland: UP CM Adityanath Sounds Alarm on Global Warming

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke on climate change issues at a seminar during the Maha Kumbh. He highlighted that climate change is resulting in unseasonal rains, extended droughts, and heavy rainfall, causing rivers to dry up. Adityanath called for collective efforts to counter the effects of climate change, pointing to the UP government's initiatives in river rejuvenation and planting trees. He referred to the planting of 210 crore saplings over the past 10 years and the setting up of early warning systems for extreme weather conditions. The CM also invited people to join Prime Minister Modi's "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign against climate change.
