Clock In, Cash Out: MCD Staff Salaries Now Tied to Digital Attendance!

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has made a major announcement regarding its attendance policy for employees. From March 2025, wages of MCD staff members will be linked directly with their attendance monitored through the 'MCD Smart' mobile app. The new initiative is intended to enhance accountability and punctuality among staff. Employees who do not register their attendance online will receive payment only for the days that they log on through the application. The program, which was first tested at the finance department in February, will now be rolled out for all MCD departments, both headquarters and zonal units.
