Coastal Comeback: India Returns to Beach Soccer Asian Cup After 18 Years

India's beach soccer national team is to participate in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup 2025 in Thailand following an 18-year break. The 12-man team, led by coach Mohd Faizal Bin Sood from Malaysia, will play hosts Thailand, Kuwait, and Lebanon in Group A. The team flew out of Rajkot on March 16 and arrived at Pattaya on March 17. Coach Faizal expects them to have a good time, citing the speed of the team as its biggest strength. The tournament doubles as a 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifier.
