Corporate Chess at Vedanta: Scheme Extension Signals Strategic Patience and Precision

Vedanta Limited, in reference to earlier disclosures including the March 28, 2025 intimation, has announced an extension in the timeline for fulfilling conditions precedent related to its Scheme of Arrangement. This involves Vedanta and its group companies – Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited, Talwandi Sabo Power Limited, Malco Energy Limited, and Vedanta Iron and Steel Limited – collectively called the Resulting Companies. Initially set to be completed by March 31, 2025, and extended once to September 30, 2025, the Board has now approved further extending the deadline to March 31, 2026.
